Sunnyside World - EX
Some updates on Sunnyside World and what I'm going to do with it next. First up, the basic biomes are finally nearly finished and they'll be added to the free Sunnyside World asset pack. Alongside that, I'm working on a paid expansion - this will take a more pre-made approach with unique buildings such as woodcutters hut, mines, forge etc. Rather than the flexibile - but a tad complex - system of parts in the current asset pack, I'll try and simplify things. So an overhaul, simplifying things and making it easier and quicker to use new unique buildings and tiles.
The biomes will be Forest, Snow, Desert, An alternate forest vibe and an Arid/Lava type one. Each with some unique plants. There's also the cave, inside-building and beach tiles from the previous version so you could say 8 biomes altogether.
You can see below some of the buildings I'm planning - and how they relate to resources you might have in a game. If anyone has any requests or suggestions for assets/buildings etc, feel free to let me know in the comments.

Is there a Pro/Premium version of this pack? Is this now made free including all the buildings? I think I recall there was a priced version of this quite a long time ago last I looked.
I’m currently working on a new version that will include pre-made buildings and a lot more new content. The current version is now free and will remain free, and when I launch the new version, I’ll add a few updates the the free one (biomes and some other bits) but the majority of new content will be in the new paid version. It’s a little way off, but I’ll post progress updates in the near future.

You Should definitely create a docks building for trading ships, exploration ships, battle ships, army and cargo transportation ships. This would allow for expansion of the colonies over seas. Also Make sure that the defences, like the stone walls also have a tower counterpart that connects to the walls. You could also make it so that the archers can fit on the walls and in the towers, for defence. Oh and maybe a tavern, and a stockpile for early in game storage. Also a building for diplomacy with other kingdoms, and maybe also siege weapons that can be deployed in battles with a soldier riding them, or deployed on the towers for defence. What else? oh yeah if you're gonna make soldiers and archers as I see from the excel file, make sure that there are both spear soldiers and sword soldiers, and also make it so that any troop can equip armor, in any body slot. This would allow for modular troops in the future, however I realise this is a lot of work for all the animations. A castle keep as a main centepiece for any colony or kingdom would also be great, as well as destroyed versions of each building for raids or sieges. Anyways I'm getting a bit carried away because I loved the asset pack so far and I want to use it for my medieval kingdom game. I would gladly pay for your work, you did a very good job already. Keep up the good work! I hope you like my ideas.
A lot of good ideas here! I already have a tavern/inn complete and lots of buildings for storing resources. The base tileset has some stone tiles that can let you build castles and stone walls and I'll have a think about the spear soldiers!
Do you plan to add different variations of the ship. Like they stand statically to the side, because there is an island and no ship =) So that it stands next to the pier. And the boat is not suitable for long-distance sailing in the seas.
I'm definitely considering creating a 4 or 8way large ship yep!
Hey this is super cool that you've added all this for free! Do you know when you'll be working on the 4-8 way characters yet or some time period? I know it's super hard to make so take your time :)

I'm using Google Translate, are you interested in drawing four-way characters and animations, I'd be happy to pay for it. Finally, you for your efforts, for providing such excellent resources for majority of game authors and continuing to update.
There is a 4-way walk, run and idle cycle that was added a while ago. I haven't done the actions in 4 way yet (thats quite a bit of work) but you can run around with the character angle now. I'm in the process of adding the action animations and extended the current animations to be 8 sided.
(I have fully functional 8 sides walking, running, jumping and digging)
You providing this for free helped me a lot to bootstrap

Apart from humans, goblins or skeletons, in order to have more variety for different zones or enemies!

I am doing some new enemies, though this will be for the paid expansion / new version. I've got: Bats, Eye Bats, Ghosts, Snakes, Slimes, Spiders, Mushrooms and a flaming skull sketched out at the moment.
